Indonesia Gears Up for the 53rd FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships

President of the Indonesia Gymnastics Federation, Ita Yuliati, said that preparations for the 53rd FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships 2025, scheduled at Indonesia Arena, Jakarta, from October 19–25, are progressing well.
As the host of the prestigious event, Indonesia is working closely with the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG), the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora), the Jakarta Provincial Government, and other ministries and institutions.
“Based on the latest update, preparations are around 60–70 percent complete. Each division submits daily and weekly reports, so everything stays on track. We don’t want to overlook any detail,” said Ita Yuliati.
The former gymnast emphasized that all matters handled by the organizing committee require approval from FIG—including social media content, photos and videos, as well as the event’s branding and mascot.
“In the near future, we will hold a press conference attended by FIG President Morinari Watanabe from Japan, who wants to see firsthand how far Indonesia has come in its preparations,” Ita added.
As for the national team’s targets, Ita expressed her hope that Indonesian gymnasts can deliver their best performance at what will be their debut World Championships.
“Naturally, there are nerves, but we’ve prepared them well—from technical training to overseas camps in Russia and tryouts in Hungary. The key is for them to give their best performance,” Ita said.
